Year 1 and 2
Welcome to our home page.
Our class is different because we are a mixed age group. In the mornings year 2 are taught literacy and numberacy by Mrs Heeley in another classroom. The year 1 part of our class are joined by the rest of year 1 to do literacy and numberacy with Mrs Henderson. In the afternoons we all come back together to do topic work.
Our topic this term is 'Toys'. We will be looking at our own toys, and toys that our parents and grandparents played with. We will be investigating toys from around the world. We will be looking at the materials that toys are made of. We will be finding out about mechanisms for making toys move.
